Downtown Executive Suites

The view was stunning. Though, contrary to what property photos show, the hot tub has been moved to the opposite side of the deck and no longer has a direct view of the narrows. Also, the window view is obstructed by condensation between the window panes, which obscures the bottom half of the large picture window; no one can sit and enjoy it.The deck is decrepit and not the well-maintained deck you see in the property photos. Some of the lumber was replaced, but was not re-stained. So, aesthetically, it wasn’t an incredibly inviting or pleasing area to spend time in. The hot tub cover, previously damaged, was repaired with red Tuck tape. Frankly, it looked atrocious and certainly could have been mended with something a little less obvious. The means in which it was repaired degraded the aesthetic value and impacted the hot tub experience. I caution others to bring something quick to slip on their feet , as rotting wood has loosened grip on some of the nails and their rusty tops will dig into your feet if you walk bare-footed. The deck had old beer bottle caps and other garbage from previous guests.The master bedroom hosted a comfortable king-sized bed, pillows and sheets. Though, the floors – shiny in the property photos – were speckled with paint and so heavily scratched that the hardwood stain was removed and there were gouges in the wood. There is a portable a/c unit, vented through a window next to the bed. Unfortunately, it appears there have been some leaks around the window, as the blinds that cover it are stained brown by the various times they have gotten wet and have dried.The bathroom: such things as a cracked toilet seat mended with scotch tape and used bottles of shampoo and shower gel are not what I would have expected from the property photos or descriptions of “ideal for romantic getaway” or “executive downtown suites”.The kitchenette offered communal sugar and instant coffee, which is inappropriate during a pandemic. The property description described ice and water as available in a side-by-side fridge. However, the only way to access the ice was to reach into the bucket of ice cubes meant to hold the ice for dispensing. If you do not want to use ice that could’ve had someone’s unwashed hands on it, I would suggest you bring your own. The ad also mentioned the kitchenette had a dining table for 4, with dishes and essential cookware. This led us to believe that there would be dishes for our group, especially since the host accepted our request knowing we planned on arriving with 4 in total. However, there were not enough bowls and mugs for all. The dining table was also located in the 2nd bedroom and not in the kitchenette area like the property description.Unfortunately, the 2nd bedroom had an open light switch with exposed wiring and a hole in the wall the size of a grapefruit.No doubt, one time, this space was lovely and well-kept. Though, now, it is in dire need of maintenance and repair and certainly not what we thought we were getting.

We checked into the one bedroom harbour view apartment for 9 nights.I absolutely love this apartment, it is very clean, all the amenities you can think of and is within walking distance to the famous George St. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The bed is very comfortable and the outdoor terrace is great for your morning tea.They are very flexible allowing us a late checkout. No one meets you on arrival but you are given a code for the door to gain entry. I love not having a key to remember every time you go out.The apartment is very spacious and private and everything works.I would recommend this place to anyone and will use it again if we are back in ST John’s.

Great customer service, beautiful/clean space & amazing views. The Queens suite was really affordable but I might try to book the lovely suite on the top floor next time! Close to downtown & all the colourful row homes.I liked the convenience of being able to punch in a code, rather than collecting keys and having to deal with checking in and out. Thank you!

Comfortable and clean room. You can see Signal Hill from the back balcony. The kitchen we were allowed to use is really nice and well stocked with appliances. Our room had a mini fridge and air conditioning and everything else a typical hotel room would have. Bed was comfortable. Great owners! After everyone had checked out they let us view the penthouse suite which is absolutely amazing!

We are renting a amazing 5 bedroom penthouse suite at 29 Queens Road, St John's. From our kitchen we have a panoramic view of St John's City which includes Signal Hill and the Narrows. It is very peaceful to sit in the kitchen and enjoy your morning coffee while viewing this sight. It is amazing. Adjacent to the kitchen is a large sunroom which gives one a 180 -view of the city. A lot of thought has gone into the decorating of all the rooms. The kitchen was well equipped with everything one would every need. This suite is equipped with a lot of extras: hot tub, sauna, surround sound, flat screen TV in all the bedrooms.and even a scrabble game. Management are very obliging and will do everything to make your stay perfect. I would highly recommend this place. My family enjoyed our five days here.

I got the bachelor pad, overall it wasn't a bad place. A bit of a walk from water St. The reason I gave it such low ratings is because it's the worst bed I've ever slept on. My back is hurting from it.

I have to point out that i didn't have the best room which was connected with the living room via windows. No ironning board (which was stated in expedia). Not clear for parking even after calling emergency line

What a great place to stay, fantastic view, clean, convenient location, comfy bed....I would highly recommend it.... sad to be leaving..

Fabulous space, walking distance to downtown waterfront. My girlfriends and I enjoyed the penthouse apartments for 2 days (wish we could have stayed longer) The place is beautiful, spacious, fully contained, hot tub, sauna, everything, plus a beautiful view of the harbour. Three of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms so you can have your own space if needed. A great dining room if you had a large group. Loved the view from the upstairs living room. The only thing that could have made this place better would have been an iceberg in the harbour. I will definitely rent this place again.

dirty dishes, dirty hot tub , deck around hot tub sinking , glued up chairs everychair downstairs in kitchen or sunroom broken taped glued back together, dishwasher in penthouse room a unfit state , hot tub scuzzy and looks as no one has hand washed it in a long time gunck all around sides taped up cover so when it rips more charge you for that too
